Kokopelli's Trail is an epic route that lies mostly in Utah. The trail runs for 142 miles between Loma, Colorado (a few miles west of Grand Junction) and Moab, Utah, winding through remote desert sandstone and shale canyons. The trail has developed something of a following recently, so expect to encounter lots of mountain bikes along its stretches of single track, county road and 4X4 sections. While much of the trail can be traveled by vehicles, there are sections for bicycles only, so it is not possible to do the complete route in a motorized vehicle.
