From vintage firearms to fine art, the permanent collection of the Huntington Museum of Art mirrors in part both this region's historic roots and its cultural heritage. Formed around the holdings of Huntington citizen, Herbert Fitzpatrick some fifty years ago, the museum has continued to expand over the years. Visitors can take in a sampling of objects and artworks from around the globe, including English silver, Haitian wooden sculptures, artifacts from the Near East, 19th-century French paintings and varied contributions from American artists of the past three centuries.
