Description

Time travel back to a rural stretch of the Appalachian region on a trip to the Heritage Farm Museum and Village, an open-air museum that offers a glimpse of bygone eras through historic buildings and plenty of period artifacts. On a guided tour take a peek inside a traditional one-room schoolhouse, search for provisions at the Country Store, and have a look inside the fourteen other historic buildings for an instroduction to everything from steam tractors to domestic farm animals in the Farm Zoo, petting encouraged. The Heritage Farm Museum, the Museum of Progress, Museum of Transportation and the Country Store Museum are open to the public year-round, though hours are limited during winter months.
