Description
Beech Fork Lake is a 720 acre lake in the hills of West Virginia with fishing, swimming and boating opportunities. Camping is available at nearby Beech Fork State Park. Beech Fork Lake is part of the integrated flood reduction system operated by the Corps of Engineers for the entire Ohio River Basin.
There is a 10 horsepower limit on boats. Motors with greater than 10 horsepower must have the propeller removed.
Use Fees are required at the Marina Launch Ramp ($3.00 per launch) and Stowers Branch Swim Beach ($1.00 per person over age 12, $4.00 per carload maximum). Annual Day Use Passes are available at the Visitor Center for $30.00. These passes allow unlimited use of the Marina Launch Ramp and Stowers Branch Swim Beach at Beech Fork Lake and other Corps of Engineers recreation areas requiring a day use fee day use anywhere in the United States. Golden Age and Golden Access passports may be used for a 50 percent discount at all Corps operated recreation areas where a day use fee is required and pass owners are entitled to a 50 percent discount on the price of an Annual Day Use Fee Pass.

Basic Directions
From Interstate 64 near Huntington: From Exit 8 take Rt. 152 South toward Wayne, WV. After approximately 7 miles turn left on Beech Fork Road (near Lavalette) and go approximately 3 miles to the Dam site. The Visitor Center is on the right near the dam and the Beech Fork Marina is just past the Visitor Center on Beech Fork Road. Visitor Center hours are 8:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.
